FOREGIN LANGUAGE ACTIVITIES

The study of a foreign language benefits students both linguistically and in a broader culturalsense. Linguistically, students benefit by developing the ability to communicate in a language other than their mother tongue.

These include Indian Dance, Western Dance, Indian Music, Western Music, Yoga, Martial Arts, Drama, Debating, Elocution, Art, Abacus, Aero Modelling, Cotton Spinning and Weaving, Pottery, Handmade Paper Making, Carpentry, amongst many others. From time to time experts will providevaluable inputs from their various fields.


DRAMA I THEATRE IN EDUCATION

The aim is to develop the students' confidence and enhance their creative thinking, social and evaluative skills.

Students are taught Drama through Gesture, Speech, Song,Story Telling, Music and Dance, thereby also sharpening their communication as well as public speaking skills

CO CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES AND OUTDOOR EDUCATION

Delhi World Public Schools offer a wide choice of Co­ curricular activities. The choice on offer varies from term to term but always includes a selection of sporting activities, music groups, visual and performing arts as well as more unusual options such as rock climbing. All students are expected to be involved in at least two activities but the majority choose to participate in several

In addition to the weekly activity programme there is a specific Outdoor Education Expedition for each year level. Expeditions provide opportunities for students to develop leadership skills and responsibility; increase self­ confidence and strengthen relationships with peers through team-work activities.

Our students participate in social activities and learn about our diverse communities and about universal tolerance. Examples include sharing knowledge with children who are differently abled or are from minority communities
